Surprise Visitor

Clarence came over to visit, unknown to Eudene until he walked in the back door. The pictures do not capture her surprise or how really happy she was to see him.

Not sure if she is unhappy with me for keeping it a surprise!

Memorial Day by the Pool

Had a great time by the pool on Monday with friends and family. The weather was hot, but under the shade tree it was very pleasant,  and of course the pool was very refreshing,

April Showers – Trees!

Yesterday was not a good day for Owen and Deb. The old tree in their back yard couldn’t hold its ground against the strong winds and below is the outcome. Fortunately only the house got damaged, and no body was hurt. Most of the house escaped the blow, with only the family room taking the hit.

“When Winter Comes Howling In”

Another snowy winter, thankfully not as bad as last year – so far!

Made me think of an old classic:

Cold Fusion Brought to the World by a Rossi

If this works I really need to find out if we are related! Patent_WO-2009-125444 While the patent has not been granted due to; the lack of physical data, does not provide the necessary teachings of why it should theoretically work,  and is therefore viewed to be “impossible” , I hope it does prove to be true.

It is not hard to understand why everyone is skeptical following the previous claims of successful cold fusion experiments, but some of the potential explanations of how this could work have some merit (see The Journal of Nuclear Physics website). This is not free energy, it is a potential exothermic fusion reaction that needs energy input to initiate, but then becomes self sustaining as matter is converted. I find this particularly of interest as I have some previous experience with hydrogen diffusion in nickle.

Way back as a student I interned at the UK Atomic Energy Fast Breeder Reactor Facility at Dounreay in Scotland. The project I worked on was related to calibration of the Katharometers, used for hydrogen detection  in the inert gas blankets above the liquid sodium of the Steam Generator Units (SGU). Any hydrogen, generated from the reaction of steam and sodium and indicating the impending failure of the steel tubes separating the steam from the liquid sodium in the SGU, needed to be accurately and precisely quantified so as to determine when to shut down the SGU for repair, before a catastrophic failure occurred. Since a nickle membrane was used between the Katharometer’s  nitrogen carrier gas and the inert argon blanket of the SGU, the diffusion of hydrogen through nickle had to be characterized.

My current interest in renewable energy and steam as a prime mover makes this even more interesting and something I will be following closely for all RossiWorld.

Christmas

Matt Becomes a USA Citizen

In a much shorter time, from application to ceremony,  than it took Eudene and I Matt became a US Citizen today.

Thanksgiving

This year Debs Brother and family came up from Atlanta to celebrate Thanksgiving with us at Owen’s.

Happy Birthday!

I am very fortunate to have some really good friends – among them are Camela and Leonard. Twice this year they have kindly provided me with the opportunity to go with them and see the Ravens play. Camela even managed to arrange for the Ravens to play a home game on my Birthday and have  jets fly-over the stadium too!

Changed Host Site for RossiWorld to PROSSIS.com

For administrative reasons, and also to learn how to accomplish it,  I have change where the RossiWorld site is hosted.  I can now play with the old site without impacting RossiWorld.
